Waves Crash on Deerfield Beach as Tropical Storm Isaias Skirts Florida's Coast

Tropical Storm Isaias brought choppy surf to Florida’s east coast on Sunday, August 2. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said a tropical storm warning was issued in several states, including Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Meanwhile, “heavy” rainfall and “strong” winds impacted the northwestern Bahamas. Tropical Storm Isaias was packing maximum winds of 65 mph and was about 55 miles from Fort Pierce, Florida, as of 11 am on Sunday, according to NHC forecasters.
